Each year the Tupelo Film Festival is delighted to receive hundreds of films from across the globe. A pre-screening committee has the challenging job of selecting those films that will be showcased at the festival. Once films are selected, the filmmakers are contacted and a special panel of judges, from around the country and well-known in the in the industry, have the difficult job of choosing the winners.

In addition to bringing new, independent films to Tupelo and North Mississippi through the Festival’s program of documentary, dramatic and short film, Festival goers experience live entertainment, film forums with leading filmmakers and industry figures, workshops, special events celebrating the Festival and more.

The Tupelo Film Commission offers workshops, independent film screenings and other film-related educational and experiential opportunities throughout the year. Check out our film-events calendar for more information, or sign up for our newsletter for monthly updates.
