Whether it’s the annual Reed’s Christmas Parade or where you can take your kids to meet Santa, you’re sure to find something on this list to help you get into the Christmas spirit! Be sure to check out the event calendar for a complete list on seasonal events.

1.  The Annual Reed’s Tupelo Christmas Parade

The parade will be held in downtown Tupelo and will run along Main Street.


2. Ice Skating in the Bancorp South Arena

3. Meet the Grinch  

Bring the family out to Oren Dunn City Museum to Meet the Grinch! Ring in the holidays by meeting the Grinch and having your photograph taken with him.


4. Oren Dunn Toy Exhibit 

What do vintage Tonka trucks & porcelain dolls have in common? The Annual Toy Exhibit at Oren Dunn City Museum! Trucks and dolls have been the mainstay playtime for decades for boys and girls. What better way to welcome the holiday season than to see His & Hers?


5. Meet Santa

Bring your kids to The Mall at Barnes Crossing to have his or her photo taken with Santa.


6. Holiday Shopping Hours

Be sure to check out our three main shopping districts, Barnes Crossing District, Midtown District, and Downtown Tupelo to see new holiday hours.

7. Ballard Park Christmas Lighting

You don’t want to miss the annual Christmas lighting of Ballard Park. Along with the local school choirs, train rides, and annual toy exhibit at the Oren Dunn Museum. Our favorite friend, the Grinch, will also be available for photographs.


8. The Nutcracker Performance


Ring in the holidays with Tupelo Ballet’s annual production of The Nutcracker at the Performing Arts Center at Tupelo High School. This ballet is a brilliant blend of costumes, sets and choreography that take you on Clara’s dreamlike journey. Tchaikovsky’s beautiful score is performed live by the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra.


9. Disney on Ice at the BancorpSouth Arena


Disney on Ice always brings a great show to the BancorpSouth Arena. Plan a night out with your kids and head on over.


10. A Christmas Show

Enjoy some theater this Christmas season at the Tupelo Community Theater!


11. Christmas with the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra

The North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra performs one of the region’s finest Christmas programs, featuring choruses from Itawamba Community College and Northeast Mississippi Community College, the NMSO Children’s Chorus. The program will present many of your holiday favorites and some new versions of some old classics!
