Barnes Crossing District
Overview
A regional mall and strip centers in the surrounding area provide over 1.5 million square feet of retail space that is still growing. The Mall at Barnes Crossing is a super regional mall located northeast of Downtown Tupelo. It is home to over 90 specialty shops, five anchor stores and an eight-screen Cinemark movie theater, and a 600-seat food court. Market Center, an outdoor strip shopping center west of the mall, consists of Old Navy and Shoe Station. Barnes Crossing Plaza, located north of the mall, includes anchors TJ Maxx and Hobby Lobby. Northwest of the mall is King's Crossing is where you can find Kohl's and Ross. Malco Theaters, Best Buy, Lowe's, and Ashley Furniture reside southwest of the mall in the Tupelo Commons development. The area is also home to national brand retailers like Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, PetSmart, Home Depot, and a new Target location opening late 2026.
