The Elvis Presley Birthplace officially opened its most recent exhibit, Reflections, during a ribbon cutting ceremony March 30. Reflections invites visitors to experience the lake on the grounds of the Elvis Presley Birthplace that includes water features, a walking trail, and benches that invite guests to dream as Elvis did in this serene setting created by the Elvis Presley Memorial Foundation. The idea for Reflections began when Priscilla Presley visited the Elvis Presley Birthplace several years ago. She vocalized that Elvis would have been honored and so appreciative of what had been created at his birthplace. Through the vision of board chairman, Henry Dodge, and the staff at the Elvis Presley Birthplace, Reflections was created for fans to dream their dreams through the life of Elvis Presley.
With the addition of Reflections, the Elvis Presley Birthplace now offers visitors the chance to tour 15 exhibits including the home in which he was born, the Walk of Life, Elvis at 13 Statue, Mississippi Blues Trail Marker, Elvis’ childhood church, Memorial Chapel, Mississippi Country Music Trail Marker, Story Wall, Fountain of Life, Elvis Presley Museum, Memphis Bound Car exhibit, Gift Shop, Elvis Presley Event Center, and Becoming Statue Overlook exhibit. A picnic pavilion is also available to guests.
