Off the Wall
Tupelo is positively the place for public art, and the walls prove it.
The Off the Wall: Changing the ARTmosphere in Tupelo Brick by Brick project transformed downtown into an outdoor gallery that spans Chickasaw history, the rise of rock and roll, and the everyday moments that make this city its own.
With more than 20 murals spread across downtown and surrounding neighborhoods, every block has something worth stopping for.

Tupelo Murals & Street Art
1950s Elvis Mural | Reed's Department Store, 131 W. Main St.
Nationally recognized graffiti artist Ryan "ARCY" Christenson painted this large-scale portrait of a young Elvis live during the 2018 Tupelo Elvis Festival. His signature style blends bold graffiti color with photorealistic detail. If you look closely, you'll spot a hidden Mickey Mouse, ARCY's nod to his kids.
1970s Jumpsuit Elvis | 131 W. Main St.
Elvis in full Vegas-era glory: the white jumpsuit, the wide collar, the unmistakable stage presence. One of several Elvis murals concentrated along West Main Street, this one captures the King at his most theatrical.
Book Stack Mural | 131 W. Main St.
A celebration of reading and community on the same block as Tupelo's most-photographed Elvis walls. Look for it alongside the other West Main murals as part of a walkable stretch of public art.
Buy Local Produce Mural | Farmer's Depot, 415 S. Spring St.
Painted on the side of Tupelo's Farmer's Depot, this mural is a straightforward tribute to local food and the people who grow it. A good stop if you're exploring the Spring Street corridor.
Chickasaw Heritage Mural | 216 W. Main St. (corner of W. Main and Broadway)
Created in 2018 by local artists Lujan Perez and MJ Torrecampo, this mural tells Tupelo's story before Elvis was born. It honors Chickasaw leaders Chief Piominko and Chief Tishominko alongside Tupelo trees, white magnolia leaves, railroad tracks, the TVA arrow sign, and the year 1870, when Tupelo was officially established as a city.
Clark Street Mural | Corner of Clark and Broadway Streets
A neighborhood anchor at the Clark and Broadway intersection. Part of the broader Off the Wall project, this mural adds color and context to one of Tupelo's more walkable downtown corners.
Coca-Cola Wall Art Advertising Mural | 130 W. Main St.
A restored vintage Coca-Cola advertisement that doubles as a time capsule. It's the kind of faded wall art that was once common across the South and has since become a collector's item in plain sight.
Eat Like a King Mural | 3897 McCullough Blvd., Belden
Worth the short drive north of downtown, this mural at King's Chicken Filling Station leans into the Elvis connection with a playful nod to the King's legendary appetite. A fan favorite for food-and-Elvis fans alike.
Greetings From Tupelo Mural | 202 W. Main St.
Local artists Reid Caldwell and Kit Stafford designed this postcard-style mural in 2018, featuring the Farmers' Depot, the courthouse, and a downtown street view, plus a front porch from Elvis's birthplace and a guitar tucked into the composition. T-shirts with this design are sold at Swirlz.
Historical Landmark Mural | Romie's Grocery, 804 W. Jackson St.
Located at Romie's Grocery on West Jackson Street, this mural marks one of Tupelo's historically significant neighborhood spots. A reminder that the city's public art extends well beyond downtown.
Home of the King Mural | 108 S. Broadway St.
A tribute to Tupelo's most famous native son, painted on South Broadway Street. The "Home of the King" title says everything: this city is where it all started.
Icehouse Elvis Mural | The Gardner-Watson Icehouse / The Silver Moon Club, 213 Clark St.
Painted by local artist Morris McCain in 2010, this mural traces Elvis's career through four of his most iconic looks: the blue velvet shirt from his 1956 Homecoming concert, the black leather suit from the 1968 Comeback Special, the jumpsuit years, and the gold lamé jacket.
Jailhouse Rock Elvis Mural | 124 W. Main St.
Elvis mid-move, immortalized on West Main Street. This mural nods to one of his most recognizable film performances and fits right in among the other King-themed works along Tupelo's most walkable corridor.
