Clarksdale, Mississippi, born singer/songwriter Joe Brian Harrison set out on his musical journey down those dusty country roads to follow his dreams to music city. Hitting the writer's rounds, including the Broken Spoke, Bluebird Cafe, Pucketts Grocery Store, Robert's, and the Gibson Showcase, he discovered and developed his gift of writing and continued to hone his skills as he watched and listened to all of his newfound talented musician friends he met at Gibson Guitar.
Brian won the Nashville Songwriting Contest hosted by Renee Grant Williams, the voice coach of stars such as Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney. His song "Autumn Leaves" was featured on "Songtown USA" Radio Station's debut hosted by Clay Mills and Marty Dodson. He recorded with multiple Grammy Award Winner Jim Gaines after being a finalist for Broken Spoke's "For The Love Of Song" contest. He won the "Welcome To Nashville" song championship last year and also was named "TRADITIONAL SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR" at Opryland Hotel during the "COUNTRY BLAST" awards.
Brian was nominated for 2020 Boswell Media Group Mississippi Songwriter of The Year, and he hosts Tupelo, Mississippi’s, premiere Songwriters Night with north Mississippi Songwriter Sessions at the Blue Canoe in Tupelo.
